Environment, Transportation & Energy Committee

Purpose: The Environment, Transportation & Energy Committee is responsible for promoting environmental awareness to the public and sharing information related to transportation and energy systems and projects.

The Transportation Development promotes discussion and the sharing of ideas related to transportation systems and projects in the GTA.

The objectives of the committee include promoting high-quality transportation systems and evaluating efficient energy resources that make our community more livable, equitable, safe, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. The committee will engage academics, professionals, and stakeholders in its activities.

It will also encourage students and engineers to consider Transportation Engineering as a career and encourage them to study it at the graduate and postgraduate levels.

The Transportation Development Committee was initiated during the 2017 Mississauga Chapter AGM by a motion that was approved by its members.

  5. Leadership on Local and Regional issues
  6. Promotion of Talented Thinking
