The Environment Committee is holding a presentation and discussion about climate services provided by Environment Canada and the risks associated with engineering and cuts to the services.

Chris Davidson, P. Eng., will present. Chris graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2003 with a BaSC in Environmental (Civil) Engineering. Following graduation, Chris started work with RJ Burnside and Associates in Brampton, dealing with permitting and subdivisions, and focusing on erosion control, stormwater management systems, and stormwater pond design. In 2007, Chris moved to Mississauga and joined Golder Associates. Subsequent work with Golder has focused on surface water studies for permitting of mines and quarries, both in Canada and around the world. This work involves gathering and analysis of meteorolgoical data and evaluation of potential impacts of current and future climate conditions. Chris has also been involved in development of modelling tools for climate analysis and stormwater management.

This will also be an opportunity for networking with other members. There is no cost to attend this event.
