By-Law Committee

The purpose of this committee is to review/revisit the existing chapter’s by-law and recommend addition, deletions and amendments in existing rules and make new laws according to requirements, the proposed changes are circulated to the executive board members ahead of the meeting to give members sufficient time to read and comment. The proposed changes are tabled in front of the committee for discussion and acceptance, the bylaws are approved by the majority at an official board meeting that has a quorum of executive members in attendance.

The focus of the committee is to improve the functioning and  governance of the board working. To avoid any conflict all the changes/modifications in the by-law will be adopted with consultation of head office.

  1. The by-laws committee makes note of updates needed throughout the year and creates revised drafts regularly.
  2. The bylaw committee is responsible for recommending the modification in rules which are essential for good governance like procedure of selecting the office bearer, removing the member, appointing auditors, and organizing events are some to mention.

The committee is always open to considering the suggestion given by any member.
