Followed by special technical seminar from start-up company, PrecisionHawk Inc. The presentation including:

• Introduction to Drone, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and its applications.
• Challenges in design, manufacture and regulation.
• The path from innovation ideas to product of Drone.

Presenter: Dr. Philip Ferguson holds a PhD degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Aerospace Engineering, under the supervision of renowned space engineering and policy professor, Dr. Dava Newman (currently the Deputy Administrator of NASA). Dr. Ferguson is Vice President of Product Development at PrecisionHawk Inc., where he is responsible for all aircraft and payload systems engineering as well as production.

PrecisionHawk Inc. is a terrestrial data acquisition and analysis company founded in 2010. The company provides an end-to-end solution using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for data collection and analysis software tools to provide better business intelligence to clients across a wide range of civilian industries. PrecisionHawk Inc. also owns drone data software, DataMapper, satellite imagery provider, Terraserver, and the Low Altitude Traffic and Airspace Safety platform for drones, LATAS.
