Embracing the change would address the work the IESO has underway: Integration of Distributed Energy Resources and how we responding and changing to innovation in energy resources, the Market Renewal Initiative and what this means for competitive markets and the electricity grid, Development of an Innovation Roadmap, introduction of a Data Strategy that will see making available data from the Smart Metering Entity and why this is important, our new role in Cybersecurity (both Nationally and Provincially).
Speaker: Jeannette Biggs.
Jeannette B has over 20 years of experience at the Independent Electricity System Operator in a wide-range of jobs in Settlements, Finance, Market Development, Internal Audit and Corporate Planning. She is currently Director, Settlements overseeing the $18.8 billion dollars of financial transactions related to the supply, purchase, and transmission of electricity and associated products in Ontario’s electricity market. She is a member of her company’s pension management committee and sits on two external Boards.
Ms. Briggs has a BA Economics from the University of Western Ontario, and a MBA from the Schulich School of Business. She is a CPA, CMA and is a Fellow of Board Governance
