PEO Mississauga Chapter would like to invite you to participate in the online High School Coding Challenge on Saturday, Nov 5th, 2022.

The 2022 PEO Mississauga chapter high school coding event will be held virtually on ZOOM. The coding language used for this year’s coding contest will be Python programming language. You must be in Grades 9 to 12 to register in this contest. Please register through the Eventbrite link provided, and please encourage your peers, friends, and family to attend. The participants will need to have a computer and internet access to join the event, students need to have access to a Python programming language interpreter before the event. Further instructions will be provided after the registration.

The top three students from each grade will be awarded prizes.

Programming Language to Use: Python Programming Language

Recommended IDE : Pycharm Community Free Edition or Online Interpreter

Event date: Saturday, Nov 5th, 2022.

Registration for this event will close on Wednesday, Nov 2nd, 2022.

Event schedule (tentative):

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Python programming language tutorial. The tutorial will cover basic concepts and programming skills of Python.

12:00 PM to 12:40 PM: Lunch break.

12:45 PM to 3:45 PM: The coding challenge.

4:00 PM to 4:15 PM: Lucky draw and closing remarks.

Requirement: Registrant must have a computer with an Internet connection.
