PEO Mississauga Chapter would like to invite you to participate in the online High School Coding Challenge on Friday, November 3rd (online tutorial session) and Saturday, Nov 4th, 2023.

The 2023 PEO Mississauga chapter high school coding event will be held virtually on ZOOM. The coding language used for this year’s coding contest will be Java programming language. You must be in Grades 9 to 12 to register in this contest. Please register through the Eventbrite link provided, and please encourage your peers, friends, and family to attend. The participants will need to have a computer and internet access to join the event, students need to have access to a Java programming language compiler before the event. Further instructions will be provided after the registration.

The top three students from each grade will be awarded prizes.

Programming Language to Use: Java Programming Language

Recommended IDE : Online compiler, IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition or any Java compiler IDE you feel comfortable with

Event date: Saturday, Nov 4th, 2023.

Registration for this event will close on Wednesday, Nov 1st, 2023.

Event schedule (tentative), Please notice that this event has two sessions:

1. Friday, November 3rd, 2023:

6:00 PM to 9:00 PM: Java programming language tutorial. The tutorial will cover basic concepts and programming skills of Java. Feel free to join.

2. Saturday, November 4th, 2023:

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: The online coding challenge.

2:00 PM to 2:15 PM: Closing remarks.

Requirement: Registrant must have a computer with an Internet connection.
