Understanding Air Quality Compliance and Permitting in Ontario

Come and learn the latest requirements for air quality permitting and compliance in Ontario.
Speaker: Paul Complin, P.Eng.
Mr. Paul Complin, M.A.Sc., P.Eng; Principal, Compliance and Permitting has over 30 years of experience in environmental engineering with an emphasis on air related issues. His areas of expertise include air pollution control, combustion processes, process analysis, inventory development, source assessment, audits, policy and regulatory development, abatement programs and waste management. Paul has held positions in government consulting, industry and government and has managed and contributed to a broad variety of projects in refineries, chemical plants, surface coating, manufacturing, steel, pulp and paper and other industries for new facilities and in developing amelioration programs at existing facilities to ensure their compliance.
Of specific interest to this assignment, Paul led the team that negotiated the first province-wide comprehensive Air Certificate for Union Gas and is now leading a team to complete two additional province-wide approvals. Paul has also lead the team that have developed generic NPRI/GHG calculators that can be used by natural gas and oil customers to calculate annual fossil fuel emissions for their reports. He has been extensively involved in assisting industrial and other clients to develop approaches and methodology for developing Emission Summary and Dispersion Modeling reports to support applications for approvals and methodology for National Pollutant Release Inventory/Greenhouse Gas Inventory reporting.
