PEAK/CPD Committee
Starting January 2023, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will become a required component for all Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) license holders (both practicing and non-practicing) to maintain their license every year. The mandatory continuing professional development (CPD) program is based on its current optional Practice Evaluation and Knowledge (PEAK) program. It can be ongoing informal and formal learning that allows professional engineers to keep their knowledge and skills relevant and on par with today’s rapidly developing work environment.
The existing voluntary PEAK program will be discontinued as PEO transitions toward the mandatory CPD program. Engineers must complete the mandatory CPD program every year and follow a certain protocol to log the required hours that are associated with their discipline.
Mississauga PEAK/CPD committee will is here to help members through this process of completing their CPD and answer questions.
