PEO Mississauga Bridge Building Challenge – 2023

PEO Mississauga Chapter held the bridge building challenge on Saturday, Nov 18th, 2023.

This year’s event consists of two segments. The initial part comprises a confirmation session held on October 26, 2023, providing students with tutorials and information about the bridge building rules. The challenge session is held on November 18, 2023.

The 2023 PEO Mississauga Chapter Bridge-Building Challenge took place at Tomken Road Middle School. A total of 140 students from Grades 6 to 8 in the Mississauga area, along with their parents, attended this event. Students delivered presentations and were assessed by judges based on three criteria: construction technique and quality, creativity and aesthetics, and engineering analysis. The bridges underwent a load pressure test using the bridge buster.

It was a tremendous success, greatly enjoyed by the participating students.
