PEO Mississauga Chapter – Women in Engineering Seminar, October 23, 2024
On October 23, 2024, the PEO Mississauga Chapter Women in Engineering Committee hosted an event entitled “Third Time Lucky” and Presentation Skills. The event featured a talk by Nancy Hill, P.Eng., LLB, FEC, FCAE, Past President Professional Engineers Ontario, and Past President Engineers Canada, entitled “Third Time Lucky” where Nancy shared information regarding the status of Women in Engineering, and then personal experiences in becoming President of PEO.
Following that were two speaking skills presentations co-ordinated by Cheryl Rankin, who is the Toastmasters Public Relations Manager for District 86.
Cheryl also announced the formation of a new PEO Mississauga chapter Toastmasters club to learn and practice speaking skills. For anyone interested in joining the club please email: publicrelationsmanager@toastmasters86.org for more information.
The seminar drew approximately 45 professional engineers.
