Wearables Technology
The Innovation Committee of the Mississauga Chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario is pleased to present a technical seminar to acquaint members with the following topics:
- Introduction to Wearables Technology and its applications.
- Challenges in design, manufacture and regulation.
- The path from innovation ideas to product of BioSensive Technologies Inc
Presenter: Ravinder Saini, President of BioSensive Technologies Inc.
Mr. Saini is President of BioSensive Technologies Inc. His latest inventions “Ear-O-Smart” (Patent Pending) earring and “Joule” universal earring backs are creating waves across the globe with articles in Forbes, Yahoo, BNN, CBC News and coverage in almost every regional language.
Ravinder has Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also founded Worknosis (Tech startup that provides sensors for improving Workplace Safety) while pursuing his Masters degree in Industrial Engineering.
BioSensive is introducing a new segment in the wearable electronics market-the first smart earring back. By combining fashion and electronics, you can now easily monitor your activity level without compromising on looks. The wearable market is expanding quickly, but the problem is that the options are very limited; most fitness monitors are limited to wrist based electronics. Would you want to wear a bulky wrist monitor to a party or on a date? We think not… We believe that wearable electronics should be embedded into the products we use in our everyday lives; for that reason, we created Joule.
Light refreshments will be served.
